We Do Consulting Differently. The Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) practice at Berkeley Research Group (BRG) provides end-to-end advisory support to healthcare providers, payers, investors, and other stakeholders navigating complex strategic, operational, financial, and clinical challenges. Our four core service offerings include:
- Business Transformation Advisory: Partners with healthcare organizations to define enterprise-wide strategy and align financial, clinical, and operational priorities to long-term objectives. This work spans enterprise and service line strategy, population health and value-based care models, long-range financial forecasting, and regulatory and alternative payment methodologies.
The Managing Consultant requires a highly motivated problem solver with strong analytical ability, an advanced degree or significant work experience, and a desire to advance within the organization. Candidates located within the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use computer programs to mine, synthesize, and analyze large data sets; look for trends, communicate results, and recommend solutions based on findings.
- Generate visualizations using Tableau and other analytical software.
- Develop and maintain electronic databases, spreadsheets, and streamline processes as needed.
- Perform detailed research and analysis, then put the results into action (e.g., gather, review, and summarize literature and data from the public domain, specialized industry resources, or client, public, and commercial databases).
- Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions.
- Audit own work product and work product of others to assure quality.
- Participate in a team environment and work hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Participate in group practice meetings and provide creative recommendations that bring value to our clients.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in statistics, biostatistics, econometrics, mathematics, computer science, or other related subject.
- 5+ years prior work experience required, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Proven capability with analytical software and other software required:
- SAS and MS Excel are required.
- Tableau is strongly preferred.
- SQL, Snowflake, R, or similar experience preferred.
- Knowledge of database theory and design is preferred.
- Knowledge of report writing is preferred.
- Knowledge of CMS quality measure methodology including but not limited to CMS Star Ratings, Hospital Value-Based Purchasing, Hospital Acquired Condition Reduction Program, and Hospital Readmission Reduction Program is preferred.
- Commitment to producing high-quality analysis and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Desire to work within a team environment.

Pay
Salary Range: $140,000 – $185,000
