Our Consulting team partners with healthcare organizations to maximize the impact of their Human Experience (HX) investments. About the role

As a Managing Consultant, you will deliver significant value for Press Ganey and our clients by driving work that aligns with organizational priorities and produces measurable results. This role spans both consulting delivery and business development. You will lead high-impact engagements, develop actionable insights and recommendations, deliver executive-level outputs, and help grow client relationships and the consulting pipeline. Core focus areas include consulting excellence, client impact, revenue growth, and adherence to Press Ganey’s delivery methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Consulting Delivery
    • Deliver high-quality, world-class consulting deliverables for Press Ganey clients.
    • Lead, guide, and motivate engagement teams while providing coaching, mentoring, and continuous performance feedback.
    • Manage end-to-end consulting engagements, including scope, timelines, deliverables, budgets, and outcomes.
    • Take ownership of engagement performance, holding self and team members accountable to plans and quality standards.
    • Serve as an effective trainer and facilitator, ensuring active engagement and meaningful knowledge transfer.
    • Ensure consistent delivery quality and adherence to Press Ganey standards across all employee and patient experience consulting work.
    • Maintain utilization aligned with established performance targets.
  • Client Relationships & Business Development
    • Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with clients, including C-suite leaders and boards.
    • Serve as a primary client contact, quickly establishing credibility and strong working relationships.
    • Proactively identify trends, emerging needs, and opportunities to bring new insights, solutions, and value to clients.
    • Collaborate internally to connect the right Press Ganey expertise, tools, and resources to client priorities.
    • Contribute to internal innovation efforts that expand consulting methodologies, tools, technologies, and offerings.
    • Drive incremental consulting and Press Ganey product sales.
    • Lead proposal scoping, pricing, and development activities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in patient experience data, analytics, and methodology.
  • Prior consulting experience strongly preferred; consulting business development experience preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant healthcare industry experience.
  • Proven team leadership and project management experience.
  • Direct experience with healthcare consulting implementation strategies.
  • Experience implementing improvement initiatives across domains such as Experience, Safety, Engagement, Quality, or Performance.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including conceptual, quantitative, and qualitative analysis.
  • Strong facilitation and executive-level presentation skills, with deep understanding of healthcare industry and market trends.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence executives, providers, and staff at all levels.

Location & Travel

This is a remote, U.S.-based role with up to 75% travel required.

Pay

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $190,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and market and organizational factors. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
