Managing Consultant or Senior Managing Consultant, M&A Environmental Due Diligence
About the role
Ramboll is seeking candidates for Managing or Senior Managing Consultant positions to support our global M&A Transactional Due Diligence practice. The successful candidates will have a background in consulting and significant experience in the following areas, managing complex transactional due diligence projects, conducting Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs) and limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial facilities and/or facilities with long industrial histories. As well as assisting clients with post-transaction integration.
Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating environmental due diligence projects for industrial, private equity, and legal clients;
- Managing and assisting with environmental compliance reviews of industrial facilities;
- Supporting clients with compliance permitting, reporting and record keeping;
- Developing proposals and cost estimates for transactional due diligence and compliance projects, managing project budgets, and managing Client deliverables;
- Reviewing site investigation reports and providing conclusions and opinions related to the extent of contamination and subsequent recommendations for additional actions;
- Playing a significant role in client contact and leading client discussions.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a relevant environmental discipline (e.g., geology, environmental or chemical engineering, environmental science)
- At least 7 years of experience in the performance of Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for various types of industrial facilities;
- Experience developing proposals and cost estimates for transactional due diligence projects, managing project budgets, and managing Client communications;
- Experience in the analysis of investigation and remediation of contaminated sites;
- Experience in multi-media compliance support;
- An Environmental Professional as defined by the ASTM E1527-21 Standard;
- A demonstrated ability in the performance of Phase I ESAs and compliance reviews of complex industrial sites; and
- Knowledge of emerging contaminants, ESG, product stewardship and safety, health and safety, PSM, DOT, and/or international regulations a plus.

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $169,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance. Schedule
Preference to Northeast offices (Princeton, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; New York City, NY; Boston, MA; Westford, MA; Portland, ME; or Hartford, CT), with hybrid work options available. Other US locations will be considered.
