Managing Consultant, Managed Services

For our client, we are seeking a Managing Consultant, Managed Services to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping clients translate complex infrastructure needs into practical solutions that support business objectives. You will lead technical consultation across proposal development, design workshops, and solution planning while partnering closely with clients and internal stakeholders. The position also plays a key role in mentoring engineers, evaluating emerging technologies, and ensuring infrastructure designs are aligned with long-term client needs. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $126,000 – $193,200 annually Responsibilities Provide technical consultation and support in client proposal development Lead technical sales support efforts to enhance client solutions Act as a trusted technical advisor, maintaining client relationships and effective communication Conduct design workshops to achieve technical and business objectives for clients Mentor engineers in managed services project design and implementation Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into existing solutions Design and oversee infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 7 years of IT engineering experience, or 11 total years with 5 years in large-scale data center environments Demonstrated ability to transfer technical skills into actionable business outcomes for clients Proven experience in developing project plans for complex project implementation Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and confidence among clients Demonstrated analytical skills for root cause analysis and problem-solving across technical issues Ability to mentor peers and lead teams effectively in a technical environment Working knowledge of advanced network technologies and infrastructure solutions Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Employee discounts on products and services Educational assistance and professional development opportunities Flexible work arrangements and remote work options Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
