What You’ll Bring
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering), environmental science, or related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in air quality compliance, permitting, and regulatory programs.
- Direct consulting or industry experience in the environmental field with working regulatory knowledge of local air districts, state and federal programs, Title V and RECLAIM facilities.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply environmental regulations and agency guidance documents.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and build lasting client relationships.
- Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
- Preferred:
- Experience in energy transition (oil and gas), chemical, technology, manufacturing, chemical, or mining sectors.
- Familiarity with AERMOD, GIS, health risk assessments, CEQA, and other compliance programs.
- Master’s degree in a related discipline.
- Professional certifications (P.E., CSP, CHMM, or similar).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex air permitting and compliance assurance programs under NSR, PSD, Title V, and state-level regulations.
- Conduct regulatory analyses and develop permitting strategies tailored to client operations.
- Engage with regulators to facilitate permit reviews and approvals.
- Prepare technical proposals and lead business development initiatives.
- Build and maintain client relationships that drive repeat business and market growth.
- Mentor junior staff and manage project teams across multiple ERM offices.
Pay & Benefits
The anticipated annual base pay for this role is $103,967 - $132,573 USD. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
