Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, natural resources management, ecology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of consulting experience in NEPA impact assessment and multi-media permitting
  • Preferred: 8 years of experience

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional technical writing and communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to ERM’s sustainability vision

Preferred Experience

  • Established client relationships in the Midwest energy and infrastructure sectors
  • Experience with international projects and global regulatory frameworks

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage environmental permitting and compliance for renewable energy, transmission, and oil & gas projects
  • Oversee ESA consultations, develop Habitat Conservation Plans, and prepare mitigation strategies
  • Deliver NEPA-compliant impact assessments and management plans, ensuring regulatory alignment
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients, identifying opportunities to add business value
  • Maintain high standards for health & safety, financial performance, and client satisfaction
