About the role
Manage and ensure regulatory compliance with all traffic systems through operation, design, analysis, and intergovernmental coordination.
Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, design, and implementation of traffic and transportation projects, including signal systems, roadway safety improvements, and traffic flow optimization.
- Lead engineering teams, evaluate traffic studies, ensure adherence to standards and regulations, and provide technical direction on complex traffic engineering challenges.
- Lead Operations Technicians and Electricians for maintenance, repair, and preservation of all signal, sign, and street marking assets.
- Collaborate with public agencies, internal departments, and community stakeholders to enhance mobility and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Eight or more years of experience in civil engineering.
- A minimum of three years of supervisory responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Transportation Engineering and Transportation Planning.
- Knowledge of Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
- Experience with Traffic Simulation, GIS, and CAD software.
- Experience with City Council communications and the ability to present.
