Managing Attorney

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Managing Attorney to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will oversee litigation operations within a regional office, providing hands-on legal leadership and guidance to attorneys and support staff. The Managing Attorney will help ensure cases are assigned effectively, trial preparation remains on track, and attorneys receive the coaching and development needed to deliver strong outcomes. This position also balances supervisory responsibility with a reduced litigation caseload, requiring active involvement from case inception through post-trial motions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage office staff, including mentoring and coaching attorneys
• Review and assign new files within the office
• Conduct monthly training sessions for attorneys
• Maintain an active case diary of concerns
• Handle a reduced litigation caseload from inception to post-trial motions

Qualifications

• Law degree and bar admission in relevant states
• 5+ years of insurance defense experience
• 10 personal injury jury trials or equivalent litigation experience
• Previous supervisory experience overseeing attorneys and staff
• Comprehensive knowledge of civil procedure and trial practice

Pay

$125,349 – $351,748 annually
