Managerial Position, Public Corruption Bureau
Responsibilities
Assist the Bureau Chief in running the day-to-day operations of the Public Corruption Bureau including management of ADAs and support professionals assigned to the bureau.
Monitor cases and interface with the court, defense bar, Assistant District Attorneys and other stakeholder agencies.
Advise ADAs on investigations, case management, grand jury presentations, hearings, trials, possible dispositions, sentencing and other matters.
Provide on call support 24-7 as rotational backup supervisor to on-call ADA’s and the Intake Bureau.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience investigating and trying complex and challenging cases
- Record of successfully negotiating and dealing with intense media scrutiny
- J.D. degree, active member of the New York State bar in good standing
- At least 10 years post-J.D. experience
- Extensive experience in handling all aspects of criminal investigation and prosecution, especially referrals from NYPD/IAB and NYC Department of Investigations
- White-Collar experience
- Knowledge of the New York Rules of Professional Conduct for Attorneys
- Substantial felony jury trial experience
- Prior experience managing junior attorneys
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Skills
Ability to manage a staff of senior assistants, including paralegals and detectives.
Benefits
Salary and title will be commensurate with experience. The salary range is from $138,000 to $190,000.
