Manager, Workers Compensation Claims - Remote

Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Claim Specialists handling claims of varying complexities.
- Monitor and report on claims trends to department leadership.
- Ensure compliance with Crum & Forster's claims handling best practices and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with risk engineering, underwriting, account executives, vendors, and legal departments to address claims trends and implement guidelines.
- Provide technical support and stay updated on industry developments through publications, seminars, and legal decisions.
- Manage case reserves, approve case reserve recommendations, and negotiate settlements.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain qualified staff; develop and train direct reports.
- Establish and monitor regional office claims objectives.
- Engage with customers to discuss C&F's claims capabilities and address specific claim needs.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 8+ years of experience, preferably in a WC Claims Supervisory and/or Management position.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs and Lotus Notes software applications.
- Some travel required.
Qualifications
- Well versed in California Workers' Compensation statute claims.
- Ability and willingness to work on special projects outside normal responsibilities.
Skills
- Knowledge of industry publications, seminars, and legal developments.
- Experience with case reserve management and settlement authority.
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.

Pay
The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $78,600.00 to a maximum of $147,700.00. Actual compensation is determined by various factors, including market pay, job responsibilities, and employee performance.
