Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and motivate front of house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Foster positive guest relationships by anticipating needs, providing recommendations, and addressing inquiries with a commitment to the brand.
  • Oversee service quality, ensuring timely, efficient, and friendly service.
  • Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and a pleasant atmosphere.
  • Assist with daily cash handling, including opening and closing the register.
  • Aid in labor cost control, optimizing staffing levels to meet demand.
  • Monitor tipping procedures and ensure proper distribution.
  • Manage seating arrangements and reservation systems, ensuring efficient flow of guests.
  • Maintain restaurant inventory, including supplies and equipment for the front of house.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the front and back of house to ensure smooth operations.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and provide feedback to improve service standards.
  • Assist in creating and implementing promotional activities, events, and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain work schedules for front of house staff, ensuring proper coverage during peak hours.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including maintaining TIPS and ServSafe certifications.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a front of house leadership role preferred (restaurant, hospitality, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Basic understanding of financials, including budget and labor cost management.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay Range

$60,000 - $65,000 per year
