About the role

We are currently seeking a Telecom Manager for the West Des Moines, IA area.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction documents, including prints, permits, and plans, and splicing diagrams.
- Review designs with crews, municipalities, and customers.
- Attend utility coordination meetings and construction progress meetings as needed.
- Create and provide a construction schedule to the property and customer.
- Arranges internal employees or vendors to perform work and issue purchase orders as needed.
- Arranges for vendors to call in locates before starting work on site.
- Ensures materials are verified before sub picking up and arranged at the work site.
- Maintains workforce compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA requirements.
- Reviews project documentation and assigns tasks.
- Monitors contractor progress and quality inspections, and ensures timely turnover of assigned projects.
- Communicates with the Warehouse Manager for material pick-up and drop-off arrangements.
- Oversees project cost and reviews pre-invoicing prior to finalization.
- Redlines port changes and communicates to the team.
- Communicates with regional administrative teams and supervisors to ensure quality of work standards are met.
- Reviews photos as part of quality checks and addresses any concerns.
- Communicates chargebacks to subcontractors.
- Interacts with customer representatives regarding work completion and resolves conflicts.
- Signed off on all work completed and shares information with Prince leadership and the customer.
- Oversees the maintenance of field vehicles and equipment.
- Hires, trains, and coaches team members.
Requirements
- 3 years of management experience in the telecom/construction space.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license (Class "C" minimum).
- Ability to work in various temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
- Telecom industry experience preferred, especially with HDD drilling.
