Manager, Technical Design

About the role

The Manager, Technical Design (Women’s) position at Fabletics is part of a fast-paced team working towards significant expansion into various apparel categories. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in women's technical design, a proven track record of business growth, and a strong understanding of market trends and fit.

Responsibilities

• Manage all tech design related functions from creating effective processes and product standards to successfully driving brand initiatives.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of technical designers.
• Attend fittings to develop and establish regular and plus size apparel.
• Create technical drawings and renderings.
• Build and maintain technical design data libraries in Centric PLM.
• Assemble tech packs with construction detail sketches, specs, how to measure guides and packaging details.
• Collaborate with vendors, Production and Product Development to meet all calendar deadlines.
• Monitor workflow of all vendors, internal team members, and sample room to meet standards and guidelines.
• Strategically solve problems and work towards top and bottom line goals.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and inspire team to encourage constructive communication.

Qualifications

• Technical Design experience for Women’s apparel.
• Lounge/lifestyle categories experience a plus.
• Prior experience leading and mentoring teams.
• Proven track record of growing businesses, identifying trends, and delivering results.
• Exceptional knowledge of garment construction, balance, and fit.
• Excellent eye for fit, construction, and detail.
• Ability to create technical drawings and renderings.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation.
• Positive attitude and ability to inspire team to encourage constructive communication.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Foundational AI literacy, including experience using generative AI tools, and a proactive mindset to experiment with new technologies to drive productivity and innovation.
