Manager, Supply Planning
About the Role
KARL STORZ is seeking a Manager of Supply Planning to lead finished goods supply planning activities across our active product portfolio. In this high-impact role, you'll guide a team of Buyer/Planners to maintain optimal stock coverage, deliver the highest level of customer service, and meet the company's inventory and financial goals — ensuring the Right Product is in the Right Place, at the Right Time, at the Right Cost.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Marketing, and Product Management to develop aligned demand and supply plans.
- Recruit, hire, and develop a team of Buyer/Planners, fostering continuous growth and skill development.
- Oversee purchase order creation with suppliers, factoring in lead times, volume discounts, and order handling efficiencies.
- Monitor demand patterns and manage supplier communication to expedite or de-expedite deliveries as needed.
- Partner with Transportation, Warehouse, and Quality teams to resolve shipment delays, receiving discrepancies, and non-conforming product issues.
- Communicate product availability updates and lifecycle management decisions to Marketing and Product Management.
- Support Accounts Payable in researching and resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service levels, and waste reduction.
- Ensure full compliance with FDA regulations (21 CFR 820) and KARL STORZ's Quality Management System.
What You Bring
- 4–6 years of experience in supply chain, supply planning, or a directly transferable field.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MRP systems; SAP experience is highly desirable.

Pay Range
Pay range: $82,400 – $107,100
