Manager, Study Start Up

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Study Start Up to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will oversee the end-to-end study start-up function for clinical trials, ensuring sites are identified, activated, and progressed efficiently. You will lead a team of professionals while partnering closely with sponsors and regulatory stakeholders to keep timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements on track. The position is well suited to a leader who can balance operational execution with process improvement in a fast-paced clinical research environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end study start-up process, including site identification and activation
• Lead and mentor a team of study start-up professionals
• Collaborate with sponsors and regulatory teams to ensure compliance
• Monitor study start-up metrics, timelines, and budgets
• Identify risks in the start-up process and implement mitigation strategies
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the study start-up process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field
• Extensive experience in clinical trial study start-up and global regulatory requirements
• Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring teams
• Excellent organizational and project management capabilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience in process optimization and best practices implementation
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

Pay

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually
