Manager, Strategic Initiatives
Responsibilities
Carry out financial analyses and business process reviews to aid MTA executives in enhancing economic efficiency, service quality, and overall performance.
Support interdepartmental MTAHQ and interagency working groups in executing projects crucial to transforming MTA into a more innovative and cost-effective entity.
Conduct quantitative and process design components for strategic initiatives under the direction of the Strategic Initiatives Manager.
Provide analytical support to MTA HQ departments to inform decisions impacting MTA’s cost structure, performance, or productivity.
Engage in interdepartmental and interagency working groups to implement strategic initiatives aimed at making MTA more sustainable and cost-effective.
Requirements
Identify issues across various disciplines to develop creative solutions and new business methods that benefit the MTA.
Work collaboratively in environments requiring consensus and cooperation among peers without direct reporting relationships.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Build and maintain strong networks, foster new relationships, and influence decision-makers within the organization.
Prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Solve problems, collect data sets in a large organizational setting, and utilize software tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and others.

Familiar with strategic planning concepts.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
An advanced degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
Benefits

Travel may be required to other MTA locations or external sites.
Pay
$107,269 - $134,087
