Manager, Strategic Initiatives
About the role
The Manager of Strategic Initiatives directs and oversees supply chain projects to ensure new programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. These initiatives are highly cross-functional inside Supply Chain and across the organization. The role develops project plans, risk analysis, training plans, communication plans, etc., to ensure project success. The position facilitates regular cross-functional team calls, leadership check-ins, and is accountable for overall initiative success. The Manager oversees all aspects of projects including schedule, adherence to metrics, risks, and communications, and ensures cross-functional team members deliver all work within schedule and to full project scope. The role requires skill in working in a highly matrixed environment and experience leading others through influence and aligning teams to objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develops project plans and drives project milestones
- Spearheads and manages all projects through all phases from initiation to closure
- Accountable for meeting agreed-upon scope, delivery schedule, and quality measures
- Applies risk management assessment in project planning and ongoing execution
- Resolves issues and conflicts associated with management of multiple complex high-priority projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; PMP certification or equivalent training preferred; equivalent related project management experience is a plus
- 1–3 years of experience managing medium-to-large scale projects and presenting complex results to senior levels
- Proficient in MS Office Applications, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Asana
- Project management skills with the ability to multi-task and concurrently manage multiple complex projects in a cross-functional environment
- Ability to appropriately prioritize and drive initiatives while operating in a highly matrixed environment

- Self-starter with strong desire to identify and lead opportunities that drive significant business impact
- Experience in supply chain, product management, call center, or financial project management, or business process redesign in these areas is a definite plus
