Manager, Sports Training & Competition – Area 6 (Coastal)

About the role

The Special Olympics Center for Inclusive Health is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Health and Wellness Specialist. This position will focus on promoting health and wellness initiatives within the Special Olympics community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and wellness programs tailored to athletes and coaches
• Collaborate with local healthcare providers to ensure access to quality care
• Provide training and education on health and wellness topics to athletes, coaches, and staff
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and wellness initiatives
• Represent Special Olympics at relevant health and wellness conferences and events

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Exercise Science, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in health and wellness programming
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and wellness best practices
• Understanding of intellectual disabilities and their impact on health
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

$50,000 - $60,000 annually

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
