About The Team
The Revenue Operations team is at the core of AlphaSense's go-to-market engine, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure the business runs on trusted data and clear, actionable insight. This role sits at the intersection of Go-to-Market Intelligence and Business Analytics, helping unify how the organization measures, reports, and acts on commercial performance.
About the Role
We are looking for a Manager, Special Projects to join our Revenue Operations organization, reporting to the Senior Director of Special Projects. This high-visibility, high-impact role shapes how the business measures itself by building pipelines, models, and dashboards relied on by go-to-market and business leaders. You will bring rigor, scalability, and a best-in-class mindset to commercial data while directly influencing revenue engine mechanics—headcount planning, compensation alignment, and rep productivity. The role offers the opportunity to modernize legacy reporting and influence the analytics infrastructure supporting AlphaSense’s next stage of growth.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and support ETL processes that consolidate commercial data from multiple source systems into a single, trusted source of truth.
- Develop, automate, and maintain reporting on core commercial metrics and KPIs (pipeline, bookings, retention, productivity, etc.) for Sales, Marketing, and Revenue leadership.
- Drive the evolution of the RevOps analytics ecosystem by implementing scalable data pipelines, automation, and self-service reporting to improve decision-making.
- Lead technical planning and execution for complex data platform initiatives, balancing business priorities with long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve reporting efficiency, data accessibility, and operational decision-making.
- Provide technical ownership of the Revenue Operations analytics platform by establishing best practices for data governance, metric standardization, reporting automation, and mentoring team members.
- Support headcount and capacity planning, and partner with Sales Compensation to ensure comp plans, quotas, and territories are aligned with reporting and modeled accurately in downstream systems.
- Analyze rep productivity and identify data-driven opportunities to improve seller performance, ramp, and efficiency, partnering with Sales leadership on metrics and tools.
- Build and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting tools that enable faster, more confident decision-making, including AI-powered reporting initiatives.
- Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues, establishing monitoring and validation processes to drive consistency and trust in reporting.
- Partner across Go-to-Market Intelligence and Business Analytics teams to translate business questions into scalable data models, migrating existing reporting into our data lake for stability and scale.
Requirements
- 6-10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, revenue/sales operations, or a related data-focused role, with hands-on experience building ETL pipelines and working with data warehouses/data lakes (e.g., Fivetran, DBT, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks).
- Demonstrated experience owning analytics solutions for Revenue Operations, including sales performance reporting, KPI frameworks, pipeline analytics, forecasting, and executive-level business insights.
- Strong SQL skills required; experience with Python or another scripting language, and with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Sigma), is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional analytics initiatives while influencing senior business stakeholders and driving strategic operational improvements.
- Experience providing technical direction for Revenue Operations analytics, establishing scalable data practices, standardized metrics, and reporting frameworks.
- Strong experience translating business requirements into scalable data models, KPI frameworks, and executive dashboards supporting revenue growth.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Salesforce and core sales processes (pipeline stages, forecasting, territory and quota management).
- Solid understanding of commercial/SaaS metrics and KPIs (pipeline, bookings, ARR, churn, rep productivity, etc.), including exposure to headcount/capacity planning and sales compensation structures.
- A best-in-class mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bring structure to large, ambiguous, data-driven challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and GTM teams.
