What You Will Do

  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives that directly influence cost, quality, supply continuity, and business performance.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization and key suppliers to shape sourcing strategies, optimize the supply base, and deliver meaningful results.
  • Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with divisional and enterprise objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive sourcing initiatives, supplier optimization, and cost reduction programs.
  • Build and implement strategic commodity plans, spend assessments, consolidation strategies, and long-term sourcing roadmaps.
  • Lead supplier selection, competitive bidding, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements across quality, delivery, service, innovation, and cost.
  • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies, including supplier financial health, market dynamics, sustainability, ethics, and compliance considerations.
  • Leverage market intelligence, industry trends, and cost analysis to recommend sourcing strategies and business decisions.
  • Partner across functions, divisions, and global teams to develop supplier scorecards, business reviews, and performance metrics.
  • Establish and improve sourcing tools, processes, and best practices that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Present supplier strategies, sourcing recommendations, and key business updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Support new product development, supply base rationalization, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen Stryker's competitive advantage.

Required

  • 8+ years in Supply Management with focus in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply management, or supplier development.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
  • Preferred: Experience within a highly regulated industry, Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and ISO 9001 standards, Supplier performance management, Master's degree and/or professional certifications APICS, ISM, CSCMP, PMP, Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Large ERP experience.
