About the role

The Manager, Software Engineering plays a key leadership role in XiFin’s growing engineering organization, leading teams that design, build, and deliver robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. This individual will drive technical excellence and foster collaboration across our onshore and offshore teams while ensuring the reliability and innovation of our SaaS-based healthcare technology platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor software engineering teams, developing top talent and fostering collaboration across onshore and offshore groups.
  • Champion the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and cultivate a culture of innovation.
  • Continuous learning, and responsible AI use that enhances engineering productivity, software quality, and customer outcomes.
  • Create and maintain an environment where data-driven decisions guide engineering strategies and performance improvements.
  • Ensure software architecture and implementation are maintainable, scalable, and secure, supporting future growth.
  • Promote collaboration between development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Requirements

  • Approximately 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 2+ years in people leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading offshore and onshore teams in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Strong background in software development lifecycle (SDLC) management, backlog prioritization, and release execution.
  • Hands-on technical expertise to guide and review team deliverables in design, coding, and testing.
  • Prior experience in healthcare technology or medical device industries preferred.

Skills and experience

  • Expertise in developing responsive Single Page Applications (SPAs) using modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and web services development.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Proficiency in automated testing, unit testing, and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability prevention in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this role is: $141,250- $175,500. Final compensation will be determined during the selection process and may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
