Key Responsibilities
- Team Management & Leadership
- Leverage Agentic AI in the development process.
- Coordinate team efforts, ensuring high-quality outputs, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Drive strategic technology initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate design and code reviews for new product development.
- Software Development Requirements Analysis
- Lead and participate in Program Increment and Sprint planning.
- Decompose and size User Stories and assign Sprint Tasks.
- Design and Development
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and develop high-quality code.
- Ensure code is scalable and resilient.
- Coding Standards
- Adhere to SOLID and DRY principles while applying Secure Coding Standards.
- API Development
- Develop a microservice architecture with support for transition states.
- Implement an API Test Automation Framework for Unit Testing and Performance/Load Testing.
- Artificial Intelligence Enablement
- Contribute to and evolve One Inc’s AI-enabled software development methodology.
- Guide team members in leveraging AI tools for code generation, refactoring, and documentation.
- Remain aware of emerging AI capabilities and proactively adopt tools that enhance productivity and platform reliability.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with the Security team to maintain PCI compliance.
- Work with Quality Assurance teams to remediate testing gaps and ensure no defects escape to production.
- Influence and contribute to end-to-end product architecture and provide feedback on product strategy.
- Operational Excellence & Incident Management
- Lead engineering for escalated client impacting events, driving issue resolution and preventive actions.
- Respond to production issues in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Troubleshoot production issues, implementing fixes while ensuring platform stability and performance.
- Provide input into long-range product requirements, best practices, and operational guidelines.
- Performance Monitoring & Engineering Standards
- Create and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to continuously elevate engineering standards.
- Contribute to documenting One Inc engineering best practices and ensuring consistent team adherence.
- Monitor platform performance metrics and proactively mitigate potential scalability issues.
- Experience leading engineers working with several programming languages, such as C#, .NET Core, Java, PHP, and REST API.
- Exposure to multiple programming languages and platforms.
- Working knowledge of AI-enhanced development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and similar platforms.
- Experience with Cloud Technologies, specifically Azure or AWS.
- Experience with Cloud Native Architecture, Containers, and Microservices.
- Experience in large-scale implementations of cloud-native solutions.
- Proficiency in TDD (Test Driven Development), Domain Driven Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, and Self-Contained Services.
- Familiarity with PHP SugarCRM Framework (a plus).
- Experience in insur-tech or fin-tech space (a plus).
- Experience in credit card transaction processing (a plus).
- Experience designing solutions for high volume, scalability, and availability in these domains.
- More than 10 years of software development experience.
- Experience with Agile development methodology (e.g., Scrum).
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) (desirable).
- Effective communication skills, proficient in written and verbal English.
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Leadership and influence experience, including 3+ years of management experience within software engineering.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members, helping them understand architectural concepts and advance their technical development.
- Ability to build a transparent and open work environment where discussions about issues are encouraged.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to remediate issues and implement sustainable technology changes.
- Ability to create and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
