Manager Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage multiple technology teams or departments, including staffing, workflow, and operational performance.
• Lead day-to-day operations and ensure goals and timelines are met.
• Coach and mentor managers and individual contributors, including performance management and career development.
• Lead major technical initiatives and oversee the design and delivery of complex systems.
• Maintain and execute technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Provide guidance on architecture, scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
• Drive strategic planning and decision-making for cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, and retention for technical teams.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices.
