About the role

The Customer Intelligence Development organization is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the Customer Intelligence 360 Web & Mobile Team. Our team delivers cloud-native SaaS capabilities that enable organizations to collect digital behavioral data, personalize customer experiences, and measure engagement across web and mobile channels. Responsibilities

  • Organize, develop, prioritize, and assign resources to deliver high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.
  • Lead development project designs and enforce technical standards across web, mobile, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Collaborate with software developers, architects, designers, product managers, and cloud operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Manage project scope, priorities, schedules, and delivery commitments while communicating risks and progress to stakeholders.
  • Maintain accountability for the full software lifecycle, including development, deployment, operational excellence, and support of SaaS in production.
  • Provide technical leadership through mentoring, coaching, talent development, and fostering a culture of innovation and engineering excellence.
  • Lead adoption of modern engineering practices, including cloud-native architectures, DevOps, AI-assisted engineering tools, and responsible AI-driven innovation.
  • Be encouraged to participate in open source projects on behalf of SAS.
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, software engineering, software testing, or enterprise software delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience leading software development projects, engineering teams, technical initiatives, or software delivery organizations.
  • Experience developing, delivering, and operating cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
  • Experience working with Agile software delivery practices and modern software development methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, product management, user experience, and operational teams.

  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted software development tools or leading teams adopting AI-enabled engineering practices.
  • Experience applying Generative AI technologies to improve developer productivity, engineering workflows, or customer-facing experiences.
  • Experience with customer engagement, digital marketing, customer intelligence, MarTech, or analytics platforms.
