About the role
This role exists to ensure our revenue cycle consulting engagements are completed successfully - on time, within scope, and at the quality our clients expect. The project manager oversees the entire project lifecycle, from planning to final close, ensuring all workstreams are moving smoothly, all stakeholders are informed, and all deliverables are on track.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates Healthrise Core Values in all interactions with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Owns the project charter, defined scope, success metrics, workplan, confirmed resources, and governance structure before the kickoff meeting.
- Turns high-level engagement scope into a detailed workplan with actual milestones, named owners, flagged dependencies, and deadlines reflective of team capabilities.
- Builds and maintains the RACI matrix for both Healthrise and the client.
- Keeps a tight hold on scope, documents changes, assesses impacts, and brings them through proper review with the Director and client before implementation.
- Assesses and redesigns workflows as engagement gaps or inefficiencies arise, and works with client stakeholders to align on future-state workflows.
- Ensures processes are structured, documented, and usable by the client team, including creating swim lane diagrams, process maps, or SOPs.
- Keeps the risk register current, flags risks early, and escalates them to the Director before they become critical.
- Owns the issue log and holds people accountable for resolving open issues.
- Uses the appropriate methodology for the engagement and adapts it when necessary based on client environment or priorities.
- Tracks capacity issues and loops in the Director for additional bandwidth or expertise.
- Runs governance rhythms for each engagement, including weekly status meetings, steering committee reviews, and executive check-ins.
- Writes status reports that are short, accurate, and organized around progress, risks, decisions, and upcoming tasks.
- Builds relationships with clients through follow-through, responsiveness, and honest communication.
- Reviews and approves all deliverables before they go to the client.
- Builds and maintains trackers, dashboards, and reporting templates for real-time client visibility.
- Delivers executive-ready outputs on time, including status decks, performance summaries, financial impact reports, and post-implementation reviews.
- Communicates relevant changes to clients proactively and ensures they are aware of any shifts in plans.
- Stays current on revenue cycle trends and flags any relevant changes that affect active engagements.
