Manager/Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the Role
This Manager/Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis role is a key, hands-on position within the corporate finance team supporting a rapidly growing, publicly traded AI data engineering company. The position owns and manages critical forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling processes, collaborating closely with operations and accounting to establish the financial infrastructure needed for global scaling. The role involves significant interaction with executive leadership and contributes to strategic decision-making, including mergers and acquisitions and capital allocation, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve complex driver-based financial models covering forecasts, annual operating plans, and long-range plans
- Conduct scenario, sensitivity, and unit-economics analyses to support executive and Board decisions
- Apply deep knowledge of services/delivery-based business economics, including utilization and revenue recognition
- Manage FP&A processes end to end, promoting standardization, automation, and repeatable cycle execution
- Communicate financial analysis clearly to senior leadership and executives through concise narratives and materials
- Lead monthly close collaboration with Accounting, including variance analysis and management reporting
- Prepare materials for Board, investor, and executive meetings with adherence to public company disclosure standards
- Partner with operational leaders to translate metrics into financial outcomes
- Support corporate development activities including valuation, diligence, and deal modeling
- Mentor analysts and contribute to the development of the FP&A function
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
- Six or more years of progressive FP&A experience (eight or more for Senior Manager), ideally in public companies or high-growth technology or professional services
- Experience in private equity, portfolio companies, or startups/high-growth environments is advantageous
- Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; familiarity with planning tools like Adaptive, Pigment, or Anaplan and BI platforms preferred
- Experience with pricing, margin analysis, and deal economics
- Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition, and SEC reporting
- Hands-on approach with ownership of processes and modeling
- Excellent communication skills for conveying financial concepts to non-financial and executive audiences
- Experience supporting M&A or corporate development is a plus
Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 USD per year, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
