Responsibilities
- Contributes to brand and content strategy development in partnership with Directors or VPs, with a clear understanding of client goals and how content supports them.
- Identifies themes, tensions, and opportunities that can inform brand storytelling and executive points of view.
- Brings a brand lens to content planning, ensuring work reinforces the intended narrative and positioning over time.
- Flags gaps or inconsistencies in messaging and narrative across programs and raises recommendations to improve alignment.
- Helps define and articulate points of view for brands and executives by synthesizing research, SME insights, and industry context.
- Contributes learnings from research, SME calls, and client engagements to inform recommendations and improve results across programs.
- Leads research and discovery workstreams, including survey question development, survey programming, data analysis, and creation of topline findings.
- Creates content grounded in owned research, translating insights into thought leadership and narrative-driven deliverables.
- Supports reporting and analysis by assessing performance of content and identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Writes high-quality short-form content (blogs, bylines, social copy) with minimal oversight and strong contextual understanding.
- Develops long-form content such as white papers, case studies, websites, and research reports with limited edits required.
- Optimizes content for performance, including basic SEO/GEO considerations, audience relevance, and format effectiveness.
- Serves as an editor on short-form content, reviewing for accuracy, clarity, formatting, and quality.
- Prepares for and facilitates subject-matter expert calls, including background research and development of relevant, strategic questions.
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners across comms, digital, design, and research to support integrated programs (does not execute those functions).
- Communicates clearly with IP leads to align on scope, inputs, and timelines.
- Manages deadlines for owned deliverables and works with IP leads to keep projects moving forward.
- Communicates directly with clients on assigned deliverables, makes thoughtful recommendations, and applies feedback consistently.
- Communicates proactively with internal teams, raising questions, flagging risks, and offering solutions when challenges arise.
- Uses Asana consistently to manage tasks, timelines, and collaboration.
- Supports junior teammates through informal coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
- Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement in alignment with INK’s values.
Skills and Qualifications
- Typically 6–8+ years of progressive experience in brand strategy, content strategy, writing, or integrated communications.
- Strong writing skills across short- and long-form content, including executive and brand voice development.
- Demonstrated ability to support strategy and planning at a program level.
- Experience leading research initiatives, including surveys, analysis, and insight development.
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex or technical industries quickly, especially B2B tech and energy.
- Experience in an agency or similar fast-paced environment preferred.
- Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Skilled collaborator with cross-functional partners (design, digital, PR, research).
- Comfortable presenting ideas and providing strategic counsel to clients.
- Able to work both independently and as part of an integrated team.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and platforms such as HubSpot, WordPress, Moz and/or SEMrush (or similar) is a plus.
- Exposure to project budgeting or resource management is a plus.

Starting Salary Range
$80,000+, commensurate with experience
