About the role
This position is responsible for the management and support of all security activities related to Global Supply Chain Security, Crisis Management and Emergency Response, and Travel Risk Assessments. The role provides the business with a single point of contact to identify and address security-related challenges within global security operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure global supply chain security compliance by managing and maintaining participation in U.S. Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) and Free and Secure Trade (FAST) programs, including audits, validations, regulatory engagement, and stakeholder coordination.
- Maintain transportation security compliance by supporting execution of U.S. Department of Transportation security regulations (HM232), serving as the security contact for regulatory inquiries, inspections, tracking, and documentation.
- Protect global operations and personnel by managing high-risk travel programs, conducting travel risk assessments, overseeing the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), and serving as a subject matter expert on critical incidents involving facilities and pipelines.
- Ensure effective emergency response and crisis management by developing site emergency plans, coordinating crisis drills, managing mass notification systems, supporting global emergency events, and participating in corporate and regional crisis management teams.
- Minimize business impact from security incidents by leading investigations, identifying root causes, implementing mitigation plans, and strengthening organizational resilience through cross-functional collaboration.
- Support internal and external security operations by providing guidance to business units, customers, suppliers, and service providers across fixed facilities, production, transportation, storage, pipelines, and executive protection activities.
Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously and make decisions from various alternatives.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management, suppliers, and service providers.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% and limited international travel.
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within six months of employment.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) CISA Secret clearance within the first year of employment.
- Familiarity with electronic security systems.
- Demonstrated competencies in building client and customer relationships, verbal and written communication, information seeking, conceptual thinking, initiative, professional confidence, teamwork and cooperation, sharing expertise, and change/project management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field preferred.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in a related role.
- Experience in law enforcement or corporate security preferred.
