Manager, SAU/PACU

About the role

The Surgery Center Surgical Admission Unit/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (SAU/PACU) Registered Nurse Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of SAU/PACU, the Care Suites, and support staff. This role involves guiding the team and actively participating in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and oversight to all SAU/PACU, Care Suites, and support staff including Registered Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and Secretary/Receptionist.
• Provision of skilled nursing care to the patients of SAU/PACU and the Care Suites.
• Maintain monitoring of the application of center policies and procedures.
• Maintain monitoring of operations of SAU/PACU and the Care Suites.
• Aid in maximizing utilization and productivity within the SAU/PACU and the Care Suites (as applicable).
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

Required Life Support classes may be completed upon hire.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of MN.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting.
• Experience in surgical nursing preferred.
• Experience in managing a surgical unit preferred.

Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay

$110,244 to $137,805 per year.

Schedule

Full-time role based at Vadnais Heights Campus with a Monday - Friday schedule. Flexibility to travel to all Summit sites as needed.
