About the role
Playfly Sports is seeking a Manager, Sales Pricing & Strategy to join our team in New York, NY. This position oversees the unwired network media business, updating and maintaining ratecards, reviewing media proposals, and negotiating business with Regional Sports Networks and team partners.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate unwired business with Regional Sports Networks and team partners
- Reviewing linear and digital media proposals
- Updating internal ratecards and inventory/exclusivity trackers
- Collecting and providing internal marketplace intel to sales
- Providing revenue and sales reports to upper management
- Overseeing and supporting planners and assistants in managing order entry and finance responsibilities
- Helping develop and brainstorm new processes to streamline sales
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5+ years’ experience in media sales required, including sales negotiations
- Political sales experience preferred
- Digital sales experience preferred
- Expert knowledge of Excel required
- Good handle on media math required
- Strong communication and multi-tasking skills required
- Experience building media proposals preferred
- Research/Insights experience, including developing estimate methodology preferred
- Wide Orbit experience preferred
- Booster experience preferred
Qualifications
- Minimal travel included (potential annual work offsites, potential to visit other offices across the country, etc)
- The role is mainly done at a desk
- The New York Office has sitting/standing convertible desks
- The New York Office is close to multiple forms of public transportation including Penn Station and multiple subway lines
Pay
The pay range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
