Manager, Sales Operations
About the role
The Strategy and Planning team, part of the broader Sales Operations team, supports the Sales organization by helping them go faster and grow. This function serves as business partners to Senior Sales Leaders, embedding themselves as the "COO" of the Enterprise business. Responsibilities include analyzing inefficient business rules, piloting new sales roles, optimizing the sales process, and analyzing sales data for meaningful insights.
Responsibilities
- Help drive the analytical rhythm of the business, including quarterly business reviews and organizational deep dives.
- Organize and execute the strategy of the AI GTM team, building the next wave of MongoDB customers.
- Partner with Senior Sales leadership to conduct market and segment-specific analyses, uncovering insights and providing recommendations.
- Conceptualize and pilot new programs to test the effectiveness of various sales roles and compensation plans.
- Participate in quarterly and annual business planning for the Sales teams.
Requirements
We are seeking a Manager of Sales Strategy & Planning to lead the AMER (West) region and align with our AI GTM strategy. This role involves managing a team and shaping the future productivity, scalability, and AI-enablement of the organization through defining impactful use cases, driving cross-functional programs, and ensuring the successful adoption of new capabilities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.).
- Experience: 5+ years of work experience in Sales Strategy, Consulting, Sales Operations, or Analytics.
- Management: Experience managing a team or supervising a direct report.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong proficiency in SQL, AI tooling, and data visualization.
- Analytical Mindset: Proven experience working with large datasets to conduct analysis, identify trends, and quantify business impact.
- Problem Solving: A proactive approach to navigating ambiguity, with the ability to distill high-level business needs into structured, actionable tools.
- Communication: Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and efficiently to non-technical, cross-functional partners.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is $98,000—$193,000 USD.
