Primary Purpose
The Sales Operations and Insights Manager will assist the sales and operations teams with day-to-day execution of various sales-related activities. This person will become the category expert on gum (and specifically functional gum) and handle the reporting of our retail performance internally.
Major Responsibilities
- Coordinate between operations and sales teams on customer orders, volume status, and issue resolution
- Own all aspects of category management: learn and understand how to use retail data through Nielsen IQ, become an expert on category and competitive performance, and report/understand REV’s performance at its various retailers to get ahead of any potential performance issues and/or take advantage of performance windfalls
- Develop a monthly reporting cadence/suite to cascade retailer performance to our various team members
- Aid in the development of data-driven selling stories and customer meeting preparation
- Aid in the forecasting and budgeting processes for the sales and operations teams
- Aid in the preparation and execution of trade-shows
- Aid in the processing and tracking of deductions
- Aid in the execution of eCommerce on Amazon and other sites
- Aid in the execution of social media campaigns when needed
- Aid in sampling or other community outreach activities
- Aid in internal reporting and lead cross-functional meetings as needed
- Aid in the preparation of board meetings for the CEO & President
Competencies/Skills/Knowledge Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- CPG experience is ideal but not required - we want someone who’s ambitious, fired up and ready to go
- Strong communication skills
- Confident and outgoing
- Entrepreneurial: someone who approaches their role like a business owner
- Able to multi-task and manage a robust list of responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated to be a valuable contributor to a fast-moving team
