Manager, Sales & Marketing Analytics
About the role
The Manager, Sales & Marketing Analytics, is a key member of the team providing analytical support to commercial functions (Brand Marketing, Marketing Operations, Field Sales Leadership, Data, Analytics & Insights) of a growing commercial organization. This position will be an integral cross-functional partner with a focus on data infrastructure, dashboard development, reporting automation, and advanced analytics and insights including HCP and patient analytics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain standardized, scalable data infrastructure to improve efficiency, sustainability of deliverables, and consistency across markets and reporting needs
- Design, develop, and maintain executive-ready dashboards and data visualization solutions in Tableau and/or Power BI that are intuitive, accurate, visually effective, and aligned with business needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to scope and manage projects from beginning to end, including understanding the business questions, project planning, and creating structured deliverables
- Design and implement analyses that provide insights into brand performance, HCP and patient trends, market dynamics, and key marketing initiatives
- Explore and apply AI-enabled analytics tools, coding assistants, and automation capabilities to improve productivity, accelerate insight generation, and support more efficient analytics workflows.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, standardize business rules, enhance reporting quality, and build sustainable analytics solutions.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and sustainability of analytics and reporting by implementing quality control processes, validating outputs, proactively identifying data issues
- Maintain clear documentation for data sources, business rules, metric definitions, and reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in analytics, business, data science, mathematics or statistics required.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial analytics
- Strong experience developing dashboards and data visualization solutions using Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Experience working with large datasets and relational databases required
- Strong ability to clean, process, analyze, and interpret large datasets efficiently
- Proficiency in SQL and R/Python for data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and automation.
- Experience building recurring reporting processes, standardized datasets, and scalable analytics workflows.
- Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, including ability to synthesize information and make recommendations to key stakeholders
- Effective problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suites
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in analytics, business, data science, mathematics or statistics preferred
- Experience working with commercial data in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred (e.g. IQVIA, Symphony Health, Specialty Pharmacies, Managed Care etc.).
- Familiarity with claims data preferred (e.g. LAAD, Komodo etc.)
- Experience with Snowflake, DBT, or other modern data warehouse and data transformation tools preferred.
- Experience using AI-enabled productivity or coding tools, such as Cursor, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms, preferred.
- Experience creating and maintaining data infrastructure, reusable analytical datasets, data marts, or reporting layers.
- Strong dashboard design skills, including metric definition, visual storytelling, user experience, performance optimization, and stakeholder adoption.
- Experience with advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, machine learning, marketing mix modeling, customer segmentation, A/B testing, or promotional effectiveness analysis.
- Focus on process improvement and the development of sustainable processes, business rules and solutions
- Ability to quickly learn new tools, applications and processes
Pay
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $143,000. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus.
Schedule
This position is eligible for the hybrid workplace model, requiring work to be completed onsite at our Waltham, MA office at least 3 days per week. This role is not eligible for fully remote work.
