HybridAccounting$102k–$155k/yrFull-time
About the Role
Andersen's Private Accounting Solutions practice delivers outsourced and managed accounting services to privately held companies. As a Sage Implementation Manager, you own Sage Intacct engagements end to end; from scoping and solution design through configuration, data migration, integration, go-live, and post-go-live support.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-lifecycle Sage Intacct implementations across multiple concurrent private-company clients: requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, end-user training, change-management support, go-live, and post implementation hypercare.
- Translate client accounting processes and reporting needs into a well-architected Intacct environment across GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Order Entry/Purchasing, multi-entity and inter-entity, consolidations, and the dimensional structure (entities, departments, locations, projects, classes, and custom dimensions).
- Design and oversee data migration, chart of accounts, opening balances, and historical transactions, and reconcile converted data back to source systems.
- Architect and implement integrations between Intacct and adjacent systems (AP automation / bill pay such as Bill.com or Ramp, expense management, payroll, CRM, banking and bank feeds, e-commerce) using native connectors, CSV imports, and the Intacct API.
- Build the reporting layer: financial statements, dashboards, Interactive Custom Reports, GL Outlook / Custom Report Writer, and KPI packages for client finance leadership.
- Design and deliver role-based Sage Intacct training — covering day-to-day transactional workflows, month-end close procedures, inter-entity transactions, and reporting; develop and maintain tailored training materials (user guides, quick-reference cards, and workflow documentation) calibrated to each client's specific configuration and chart of accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders (controllers, CFOs, finance teams) and manage scope, timeline, budget, risk, and change requests.
- Own project economics, staffing, utilization, budget-to-actual, and realization, and escalate risks to engagement leadership early.
- Drive formal project management disciplines across all concurrent client implementations: build and maintain project plans, milestone trackers; run structured status meetings; keep implementations on scope, on schedule, and within budget.
- Supervise, review, coach, and develop consultants and analysts, and provide direct performance feedback.
- Contribute to practice development: sharpen implementation methodology and tooling, support scoping and estimates for new work, and help draft proposals and statements of work.
- Stay current on Sage Intacct releases and new modules, and on the accounting standards relevant to client accounting and advisory services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years implementing Sage Intacct, with experience leading full-lifecycle Intacct implementations end to end.
- Active Sage Intacct Implementation Certification (Sage Intacct Certified Implementation Specialist); additional product/advanced certifications strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and core finance operations: monthly close, consolidations, multi-entity, and revenue recognition.
- Demonstrated success leading client-facing engagements and managing scope, budget, and timeline, including experience designing and delivering end-user training programs.
- Hands-on experience with data migration and system integrations, including API- and CSV-based data loads.
- Advanced Excel and fluency with reporting/BI concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting to finance and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, or active progress toward CPA.
- Sage Intacct Advanced Certification or additional module certifications (e.g., Projects, Construction, Multi-Entity & Global Consolidations).
- Experience in a client accounting & advisory services (CAAS) or outsourced-accounting environment.
- Familiarity with adjacent finance tooling (Bill.com, Ramp, Expensify, Nexonia, Avalara, FloQast) and/or SQL, Power BI, or scripting.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or a comparable project-management credential; or equivalent demonstrated experience managing structured ERP implementation projects.
