Manager, Accounting Advisory

About the role
The Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) team helps organizations strengthen their finance and accounting functions through innovative, technology-enabled solutions and hands-on execution support. In this role, you will lead client engagements, manage project teams, and deliver high-quality solutions across complex accounting initiatives. This position combines technical accounting expertise with client and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for C-suite and senior client executives, providing strategic guidance, regular project updates, and executive-level presentations.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
- Develop engagement strategies and lead the execution of complex accounting and finance advisory engagements in collaboration with AAS leadership.
- Perform and review technical accounting research and advise clients on complex GAAP, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support client engagements involving complex transactions, including IPOs, SPACs, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Oversee engagement quality and ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client expectations.
- Identify and proactively resolve engagement challenges and risks, collaborating with leadership as needed to drive successful outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project teams by providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
- Support business development efforts through proposal development, engagement scoping, pricing, client relationship management, and identifying opportunities for expanded services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong proven technical expertise in financial accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, M&A, or financial operations.
- CPA License.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (preferred).

Pay
Salary ranges for this role are as follows (based on experience, education, and skill set):
- New York: $111,690 – $175,200
- Virginia: $111,690 – $175,200
Non-exempt positions in Virginia are eligible for overtime pay at one and a half times the hourly rate for hours worked over 40 in a work week.
