Manager, Accounting Advisory
Description & Requirements
Serve as a primary point of contact for C-suite and senior client executives, providing strategic guidance, regular project updates, and executive-level presentations.
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
Develop engagement strategies and lead the execution of complex accounting and finance advisory engagements in collaboration with AAS leadership.
Perform and review technical accounting research and advise clients on complex GAAP, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
Lead and support client engagements involving complex transactions, including IPOs, SPACs, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Oversee engagement quality and ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client expectations.
Identify and proactively resolve engagement challenges and risks, collaborating with leadership as needed to drive successful outcomes.
Lead, mentor, and develop project teams by providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
Support business development efforts through proposal development, engagement scoping, pricing, client relationship management, and identifying opportunities for expanded services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years or more of relevant experience
- Strong proven technical expertise in the areas of financial accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, M&A, or financial operations
- CPA License
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

New York City Pay Transparency Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars, LLP reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs. NY Minimum Salary (USD) $ 111,690 NY Maximum Salary (USD) $ 175,200
Virginia Wage Transparency Pursuant to Virginia's Equal Pay Law, the salary range displayed is for the Virginia market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
