About the role

The Nurse Manager creates a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment by supervising nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring high-quality care, and fostering a culture of open communication. They lead daily operations, coordinate patient care activities, and collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a skilled, high-performing clinical team and develop strategies to enhance patient, family, and staff satisfaction.
  • Set and achieve goals related to patient safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance through audits and data analysis.
  • Conduct rounds with healthcare providers, coordinate care plans, and address operational or patient care issues.
  • Assess staffing needs, manage schedules, and authorize overtime to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Facilitate patient throughput, manage discharges and admissions, and ensure safety and operational standards are met.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of two years’ acute care nursing experience; leadership experience and national certifications are preferred.
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and team-building skills.
