Manager Revenue Process
Summary
The Manager, Revenue Process is responsible for developing strategic, operating, and financial plans to achieve goals. This role provides operational leadership across the entity to ensure fiscal viability by meeting or exceeding budget, establishing and managing professional billing training and workflows. Directs a team of 6 full-time equivalents.
Accountabilities
Workforce Management: Manages recruitment for open positions within the area of responsibility. Ensures performance expectations are clearly defined and communicated. Develops team members through informal and formal measures, including on-the-spot coaching, appreciation, performance reviews, and performance management.
Patient Registration Processes: Ensures processes deliver high-quality and efficient services to practices, patients, and their families. Develops and maintains effective registration training curricula that support revenue cycle integrity.
Accounts Receivable Management: Addresses practice operations-related questions and issues. Creates regular reports for leadership. Ensures reimbursements comply with contract agreements and fee schedules. Tracks trends in edits, rejections, and areas for improvement. Analyzes root causes of issues, develops correction plans, implements these plans, and monitors progress.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensures all areas of accountability are compliant with federal, state, and local regulatory standards and requirements.
Financial Management: Assists in the development and implementation of operating budgets. Partners with leadership to establish performance targets and reports variances from plan. Accountable for departmental finances, including expense variances, accounts receivable indicators, and practice liaison productivity.
Relationship Management: Interfaces with industry associations as a representative of the organization to identify benchmarks. Serves as a subject matter expert on revenue process activities for the entity. Represents the Director of Revenue Process at meetings as needed.
Education/Experience
Required: H.S. Diploma/GED and 4+ years relevant experience, including at least 1 year prior management experience in a healthcare setting.
Salary Range
$62,441.60 - $104,062.40/Annually based on 40 hours per week
