$100k–$120k/yrFull-time

About the role

At Litera, we don’t just build software—we transform how the world’s top law firms operate. Every day, we Raise The Bar™️ for what’s possible through AI, innovation, and solutions that power millions of legal professionals worldwide. If you’re energized by scale, real impact, and meaningful challenges, you’ll feel right at home here.

This is a hybrid role based in Raleigh or New Jersey with the expectation to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.

As our Manager, Revenue, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of revenue recognition across Litera's global operations. You'll partner closely with Finance, Sales, Legal, and cross-functional teams to manage the full revenue lifecycle—from contract review and billing through revenue recognition and reporting—in compliance with ASC 606. Your work will directly influence how Litera reports financial performance, supports strategic decision-making, and scales its revenue operations to match the pace of growth. This is a high-visibility role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and wants to make a measurable difference from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies, including proper treatment of SaaS subscriptions, professional services, and bundled arrangements.
  • Drive revenue-related account reconciliations and month-end/quarter-end close activities that give leadership confidence in financial reporting.
  • Partner with Sales and Legal to review customer contracts, assess revenue implications of non-standard terms, and ensure proper accounting treatment before deals close.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current revenue workflows and design, recommend, and implement automation and process improvements that support Litera's growth.
  • Ensure accurate and timely customer billing aligned with contract terms, coordinating with Sales Operations and Customer Success to resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage deferred revenue schedules and provide reliable revenue forecasts that support FP&A and executive planning.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and internal controls over the revenue cycle that ensure consistency, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with internal teams across Finance, Sales, Legal, and Product to keep revenue operations running smoothly and aligned with broader business objectives.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience in a SaaS or technology company.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, including identification of performance obligations, variable consideration, and allocation of transaction price.
  • Experience managing the full revenue cycle including contract review, billing, revenue recognition, and deferred revenue.
  • Solid Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyze financial data effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in high-volume, multi-product environments.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Clear, professional communication skills for engaging with Sales, Legal, and internal stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent accounting credential.
  • Experience supporting revenue system implementations, ERP upgrades, or billing automation projects.
  • Familiarity with revenue management or billing platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce CPQ, or similar).
  • Experience creating or improving SOPs and internal controls within a revenue function.
  • Background working in a high-growth or private equity-backed technology environment.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Incentive and recognition programs.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan.
