About the role
This role leads a team central to critical transmission planning and interconnection activities impacting grid reliability, market efficiency, and new energy resource integration.
Responsibilities
- Execute generator modification, retirement, and HVDC studies aligned with MISO Tariff and BPM requirements
- Ensure accurate, defensible study results while driving on-time milestone delivery
- Develop, validate, and maintain power flow, short circuit, stability, and deliverability models
- Oversee data quality initiatives and automated validation processes
- Collaborate with Transmission Owners, Interconnection Customers, and internal teams
- Lead cross-functional coordination between engineering, modeling, and automation teams
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Mentor and develop a high-performing technical team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of technical energy industry experience
- At least 2 years of leadership experience

- Technical expertise in transmission planning and power system analysis
- A passion for developing people and solving complex grid challenges
Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with planning models, study methodologies, and interconnection evaluations

Pay
The base salary compensation range for this role is $166,000 - $191,000 USD annually. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
