About the role
You’ll lead a control room team responsible for responding swiftly to maintain grid safety and security. Collaborate with MISO’s research and development teams and customers to influence policy and drive process improvements as energy resources evolve. Partner with Human Resources to transform training and workforce development, building trust and inspiring growth within your team.
Responsibilities
- Lead a control room team in real-time grid operations, ensuring reliability and security.
- Collaborate with R&D teams and customers to shape energy policy and processes.
- Drive workforce development and training initiatives in partnership with HR.
- Influence the integration of data centers, solar, and battery energy resources.
- Develop and execute the department’s operating plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or 12 years of equivalent technical experience).
- 8+ years of relevant technical experience in the energy industry.
- Expertise in ISO/RTO or energy industry operations, including transmission operations, relay system protection, or substation design/maintenance.
- People management experience (preferred).

Pay
The base salary compensation range for this role is $165,000.00 – $175,000.00 USD annually. Salaries may vary based on location, competencies, education, certifications, and experience. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual and company objectives are met.
