Manager Release Management
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. The posting includes: description (intro) maybe "About the role"? There's a paragraph about the role: "Discover a more connected career ..." then description of role. Could be "About the role". Then responsibilities: "What You’ll Do" with bullet points (though not bullet list but paragraphs). We need to convert to - . Requirements: "What You’ll Need" list. Qualifications maybe overlapping with requirements; but we can treat "What You’ll Need" as Requirements. Qualifications maybe not separate. Skills maybe not separate. Benefits: list of benefits under "Connecting You To Great Benefits". Pay and Schedule: not mentioned. So we include About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Benefits. Possibly also "Qualifications" if we separate degree etc. But we can combine. The instruction: prefer few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could have About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Benefits. Use
for each.
We must not repeat job title. No Job ID. Remove boilerplate: EEO etc. Also remove "Building stronger solutions together" etc. Also remove "Why grow your career with us" maybe considered fluff but could be part of About the role? It's generic; maybe we can include as part of About the role? It's somewhat generic but still substantive? It's about career growth; could be considered part of About the role. But we can keep it as part of About the role paragraph.
We need to preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep details like weekly paychecks, PTO, parental leave, holidays, insurance list, 401k, stock purchase, education reimbursement, legal insurance, discounts.
We need to format responsibilities as list items. The responsibilities are in paragraphs with bold headings? Actually they have headings like "Release Strategy & Orchestration", "Governance & The Change Advisory Board", "Cutover Management & Risk Mitigation", "Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment". Under each there are sentences. We could turn each bullet into list items, but we need to preserve detail. Could create - for each responsibility sentence. Might be many. But we can group under headings? However we cannot add extra headings besides
for sections. Inside section we can have
and
- . We could keep the headings inside
as bold? Not allowed to add extra headings? Not prohibited but we should follow instruction: use
for section headings only. It didn't forbid other headings like but better to avoid. We can keep the responsibility headings as part of
text.
Simplify: For each responsibility paragraph, we can make a
- containing the paragraph text.
Similarly for requirements: list each line.
Let's extract.
About the role: The introductory paragraphs before "What You’ll Do". Let's capture:
"Discover a more connected career Dycom Industries is embarking on a massive, transformational SAP S/4HANA implementation that will redefine how we operate. As we scale our world-class SAP Center of Excellence (CoE), we require an unyielding protector for our live systems. We are seeking a highly strategic Release Management Manager to serve as the ultimate orchestrator and gatekeeper of our production environment. In this high-stakes leadership role within the Service Delivery pillar, you will govern the transition of all new SAP features from the Build phase into the Live operational environment."
Then after that there is "Connecting You To Great Benefits" which is benefits.
Then "Why grow your career with us" paragraph: "Your career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity. Our hands-on training, supportive environment, and responsive leadership connect you to work with purpose. Our commitment to you extends beyond professional development to a safety-first culture that ensures you can do what you do best, with peace of mind."
Then "Building stronger solutions together" EEO etc which we remove.
Thus About the role could combine the first paragraph and the "Why grow your career with us" paragraph. Keep both.
Responsibilities: Under "What You’ll Do". We have sections:
Release Strategy & Orchestration:
- Global Release Calendar: Own and publish the global SAP Release Calendar, establishing the operational cadence for major upgrades, minor enhancements, and emergency break/fix transports.
- Transport Sequencing: Sequence and bundle transports across the SAP S/4HANA landscape and peripheral systems (such as BTP and third-party integrations) to actively prevent technical collisions and dependency failures.
- Business Alignment: Partner directly with business leaders and change managers to ensure deployment windows perfectly align with operational quiet periods, avoiding disruptions during month-end or quarter-end financial closes.
Governance & The Change Advisory Board:
- CAB Leadership: Chair the SAP Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, aggressively scrutinizing every proposed system change to ensure it has passed rigorous QA testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and security reviews before authorizing its move to production.
- Deployment Protocols: Enforce strict enterprise adherence to SAP Change Request Management protocols or SAP Cloud ALM deployment frameworks.
- Veto Authority: Act as the authority to halt or veto any release that poses an unacceptable risk to system stability or violates Dycom’s "Clean Core" mandate.
Cutover Management & Risk Mitigation:
- Deployment Architecture: Architect highly detailed, minute-by-minute cutover plans for major enterprise deployments and new operating company (OpCo) system integrations.
- Rollback Readiness: Define and rigorously test "rollback" or back-out procedures for every major release. If a deployment fails in production, ensure successful rollback to the last known stable state.
- Hypercare Orchestration: Coordinate post-deployment "Hypercare" support structures, ensuring the Run and Build teams are tightly aligned to rapidly address any immediate post-go-live defects.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment:
- DevSecOps Maturity: Work closely with the Process & Quality and Technical Services pillars to mature the CoE's DevSecOps pipeline.
- Deployment Velocity: Automate transport mechanisms and regression testing wherever possible to safely and securely increase deployment velocity across the enterprise.
We can turn each bullet into
- . Could also keep the section headings inside
but we can just list all responsibilities as
- items.
Requirements: Under "What You’ll Need". List:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in SAP landscape management, release management, or similar IT leadership roles.
- SAP Certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Solution Manager/Cloud ALM) are highly preferred.
- MBA or advanced degree in an IT or management-related field is a plus.
- Proven experience managing SAP S/4HANA landscapes, including SAP BTP and third-party integrations.
- Deep expertise in SAP Change Request Management (ChaRM) or SAP Cloud ALM deployment frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience chairing Change Advisory Boards (CAB) and enforcing rigorous deployment protocols.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps pipelines, automated regression testing, and deployment velocity methodologies.
- Proven track record in architecting minute-by-minute cutover plans, robust rollback procedures, and effective hypercare support for major enterprise deployments.
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and "Veto Authority" to prioritize system stability and maintain "Clean Core" mandates.
Benefits: Under "Connecting You To Great Benefits". List:
- Weekly Paychecks
- Paid Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays
- Insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)
- 401(k) w/ Company Match
- Stock Purchase Plan
- Education Reimbursement
