Manager Ready Mix Plant

Job Responsibilities

• Hiring, directing, training, counseling, and disciplining employees as necessary
• Conducting hourly employee performance reviews
• Maintaining plant housekeeping, environmental, and safety policies
• Controlling and minimizing plant costs while maintaining a consistent quality product
• Measuring raw material inventories and ordering inventory levels
• Providing preventative maintenance and repairing equipment as needed

Qualifications

• Able to climb conveyor belts for maintenance
• D.O.T. certified to manufacture concrete and concrete products
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office applications
• Good written and oral communication skills
• 3 years’ experience in plant production-related responsibilities
• Working knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations

• Working knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations
• Willingness to relocate domestically

Physical Requirements

• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
• Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
• Sitting most of the time, but also involving walking or standing for brief periods
• Must talk and hear to communicate with employees/visitors and function safely around heavy rolling equipment
• Able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
