Setting the Stage Strong imaging operations require a leader who can bring together patient care, staff management, scheduling, billing, and facility operations while maintaining a consistent focus on quality and efficiency. Under the direction of the Regional Director of Radiology Services, the Manager of Radiology Services will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Imaging Center. This position is responsible for supporting efficient, high-quality patient care while managing staff, patient and radiologist scheduling, medical record functions, payroll, billing and coding activities, and overall radiology operations. In addition to departmental leadership, the Manager will help oversee coordination of services throughout the building and work with internal partners to address operational, facility, and safety needs. A Typical Day As The Manager, You May Direct and coordinate daily Imaging Center operations to support efficient, high-quality patient careSupervise staff within the department in collaboration with the Modality Supervisor and Regional DirectorCoordinate patient scheduling, staff schedules, and Radiologist schedulesOversee medical record functions and ensure accurate completion of required forms and recordsInterview potential clerical candidates and provide orientation to newly hired clerical employeesAssist with employee evaluationsReview and finalize staff payrollReconcile charging activities, including support for professional billing and codingPartner with Health Information Management (HIM) and the Centralized Billing Office to address and resolve patient billing concernsSupport the maintenance needs of the Imaging CenterOversee the coordination of services within the building and facilityIdentify operational and safety concerns and ensure they are appropriately addressedCoordinate with Engineering, Facilities, Housekeeping, Security, Parking, Material Management, Patient Experience, and other support departments as necessaryCollaborate with the Modality Supervisor and Regional Director to support departmental operationsEnsure the Imaging Center remains compliant with applicable policies, laws, regulations, and facility requirements This Role Might Be For You If... You’re an experienced healthcare manager who enjoys overseeing the many operational components required to keep a patient care environment running effectivelyYou’re comfortable leading staff while partnering with other leaders to support departmental goalsYou understand the importance of balancing patient care, operational efficiency, staffing, and regulatory complianceYou have experience coordinating complex schedules involving patients, employees, and physiciansYou’re comfortable working with healthcare billing and coding processes and helping resolve patient billing concernsYou’re detail-oriented and understand the importance of accurate payroll, charging, documentation, and medical recordsYou can identify operational or safety concerns and coordinate with the appropriate departments to ensure they are addressedYou enjoy working cross-functionally with departments such as Facilities, Security, Housekeeping, Patient Experience, and other support servicesYou can manage multiple operational priorities while maintaining a strong focus on quality patient care To Be Considered Candidates Must Have Bachelor’s degree in a health-related major preferredMaster’s degree preferredMinimum of five years of experience in a healthcare managerial roleFive years of healthcare management experience specifically within Radiology is preferredCandidates should also have knowledge of healthcare billing and coding Why RWJBarnabas Health?
