About the role

Responsible for overseeing the QA team and ensuring all products meet internal and external quality and adheres to ISO 9001:2015 through inspection and management of company policies, procedures, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all objectives and requirements for maintaining ISO 9001-2015 certification and promote a culture of quality across departments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QA systems and procedures.
  • Lead and manage internal and external audits and train internal auditors to the standard.
  • Be on-site internal quality assurance manager throughout ISO 9001-2015 surveillance and re-certification audits, certification and future re-certification process by performing internal audits ensuring that process owners are following processes and are using the correct documents.
  • Collaborate with production team and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Supervise and continuously mentor the QA Inspection team, including conducting annual reviews, performing disciplinary reviews, and approval of timecards.
  • Ensure that customer requirements, specifications and expectations have been accurately identified and that the company is meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Understand all company policies and procedures. Make recommendations for changes that would improve the company's performance.
  • Analyze and document Corrective Action Response should a non-conformance arise. Monitor implementation and measure results to ensure non-conformance is fully addressed.
  • Establish and manage a system to monitor DLA QA approvals and planned deliveries of finished military textile products sewn by Alphapointe.
  • Maintain documentation and quality control records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Analyze customer complaints and coordinate resolutions.
  • Assist with specifications for new products and existing products as needed.
  • Maintain calibration of equipment.
  • Perform all other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; BS in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in an operations or manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Experience in regulatory audits and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of statistics is required with general numeracy, coupled with good interpersonal skills, ability to work with and lead teams.
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with some noise, warm and cool conditions.

Pay

$65,000-$80,000/year
