Manager-Purchasing
Under the direction of the Director of Procure to Pay, the Purchasing Manager oversees and manages Purchasing functions required to support the operations of all campuses of the Albany Med Health System. This includes all components of the purchasing process such as order placement and confirmation, monitoring of open orders, facilitation of product returns and recalls, and ensuring purchase orders support timely and accurate receipt of goods and payment of invoices. The role also involves compiling, monitoring, and presenting data and reports, ensuring purchasing needs are met accurately and timely while maintaining compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. The Purchasing Manager provides direct supervision and leadership to purchasing staff, fostering a collaborative team environment with colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure process efficiency and outstanding service levels. This position is on-site at the 1275 Broadway location, with occasional travel to off-site locations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all Purchasing functions to support Albany Med Health System operations.
- Handle order placement, confirmation, and monitoring of open orders.
- Facilitate product returns and recalls.
- Ensure purchase orders support timely receipt of goods and payment of invoices.
- Compile, monitor, and present purchasing data and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Supply Chain or Business Management preferred.
- 3–5 years of equivalent experience.
Pay
$84,783.00 – $131,414.00
