Manager, Purchasing

Job Description

Under limited direction, the Manager, Purchasing leads a team of buyers supporting multiple sites and functions across Vitalant’s national footprint, helping ensure teams have the critical supplies and resources needed to support donors, employees, and patient care operations. This role combines strong leadership, analytical expertise, and operational focus to drive purchasing excellence through process optimization, cost containment initiatives, and collaboration with sourcing and cross-functional partners.

The Manager, Purchasing plays a key role in maintaining continuity of supply, ensuring contract compliance, and delivering the best overall value to support Vitalant’s mission and day-to-day operational success.

Compensation

$110,000 - $120,000
This position will work in the Scottsdale, AZ National Headquarters 3 days per week and work from an at-home office 2 days per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) preferred.
• Experience in healthcare Supply Chain Management environment preferred.
• Experience: Five years of purchasing experience required. To include: Two years supervisory experience.
