About the role
Help shape the future of cloud and AI infrastructure policy in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing government affairs advocacy objectives and public policy priorities for AWS in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
- Lead advocacy efforts on data center infrastructure policy in Pennsylvania.
- Identify and communicate potential state and local public policy opportunities and threats; develop enhancement or mitigation strategies and policy positions for issues affecting the AWS business; manage and coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and key initiatives in concert with AWS business objectives.
- Facilitate high-level meetings between AWS executives and key stakeholders, including state and local policymakers and executives, industry associations, and alliance partners to promote and advocate the company’s public policy positions.
- Leverage appropriate corporate membership opportunities in industry associations and policy organizations on behalf of AWS, and ensure appropriate utilization of outside consultants.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development)
- 7+ years of public policy, government relations, community relations, public affairs, corporate social responsibility, or equivalent experience
