About the role
The Manager of the Production Test Team leads a team of Test Engineers responsible for the Propulsion system. The team designs, builds, maintains, and optimizes electric propulsion production testing of all subsystems, including thrusters, cathodes, propellant feed systems, storage, and integrated propulsion systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design new test capabilities
- Improve existing test frameworks and processes to achieve necessary test coverage at production rates
- Optimize hardware automation and test software for existing systems
- Build additional systems for parallel testing
- Perform and utilize development testing to inform methods of accelerating production testing and improving screening
- Investigate root causes for hardware failures and trade process methodologies, schedule constraints, and test coverage to enable increased production rates
Requirements
- 5+ years of hardware engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- Bachelor's degree, or Bachelor of Arts degree
- Experience in DFx (cost, test, manufacturing)
- Experience with project management of technical projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Power Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience developing products for large volume production (preferred)
- Experience managing teams of 8+ engineers (preferred)
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience with test and manufacturing processes
- Ability to develop and optimize test capabilities
- Knowledge of DFx principles
- Project management experience

Pay
Base salary range: $151,000.00 - $204,300.00 USD annually
