About the role
The Manager, Project Steering role at Scout Motors is a critical leadership position responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of serial production activities across the company.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and optimize production planning strategies
- Drive process improvements, mitigate operational risks, and ensure alignment with program timing, quality, and performance objectives
- Establish scalable planning processes that support stable production launches and long-term manufacturing success
- Serve as a key leader in the serial scheduling steering team
- Develop and create a serial planning control strategy in coordination with adjacent departments
- Maintain and create overall processes and workflows for all departments of serial planning
- Coordinate all valuation requests and drive the consolidation of the Serial Planning departments
- Develop Project Management Team for new Project / Serial Planning activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical, economics engineering, or related fields
- 7+ years of professional experience in automotive production, with expertise in achieving stable production processes
- 5+ years of progressive experience building and managing planning teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay
Initial base salary range: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00
Schedule
This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC or Novi, Michigan. This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
